This week...
...we carved a pumpkin and roasted the seeds.
Ada checked out the inside of the pumpkin.

According to Paul and Ada this is what I look like in Legos.
Ada wanted to wear bunny in her shirt while vacuuming. I think she has been reading too much Mothering Magazine with me.
We tried on sunglasses at Target.
We took care of Madison and Lewis for Uncle Mikey.
We stayed warm at Simones.

This week...
...we made a train for all of our animals in the living room!
...we did Ada's hair. Don't you love it?
It was her idea.

...We busted out Ada's pumpkin hat for the fall season.
I got my hat out too so that Ada would leave her hat on for our walk in the dark.
Ada LOVES walks in the dark around our neighborhood at night.

A visit to the farm and other fun times

We have a lot of photos to share this week!
We were busy having fun!

Tonight Ada set the table for her and Paul and her animals.
Ada likes to share her toys with Kitty.
Kitty is not so sure he wants to play.
We went to Underwood Farms on Friday morning.
It was a beautiful day!
We had a lovely time!
Ada and Grandma feeding the chickens.

They had big wagons there to ride in!
Ada picked out a pumpkin and then left the patch without us.
She knew which pumpkin she wanted and she didn't want us to change our minds!

Picking out a pumpkin is very serious business to Ada.Ada and Grandma picking the perfect pumpkin.
Ada was happy with the first one she found.

Sitting on top of the hay stack.
Ada got to drive lots of tractors!

The face that is always behind the camera.
More tractor driving
The awesome new slide at Underwood Farm!
Ada didn't want to go down the dark tunnel.
Ada and Paul driving the Combine Harvester

We got to go on a hay ride!
Thanks to our friend, June, who works at the farm we were able to get a ride with one of the preschool groups. They were all booked up until noon!
The sunflowers were beautiful!
We went through tunnels with gourds hanging down.
Us on the wagon.
Grandma and Ada

This is a project I have been working on for several months.
It is a car play mat.
Hurray it is finally finished!
Granny and Grandpa sent Ada some Elephant pajamas.
Now that we have gotten Ada to put them on she likes them.

We had a yummy lunch with the Caldwell family on Monday at Wood Ranch.
Great Grandpa likes a good burger! :) I guess when you are almost 90 you can eat what you want!
Ada was in HEAVEN with her cup and crayons.

Ruth & Dave's Wedding

This weekend we went to my college friend's wedding in Fresno.
Ada had a blast! (And so did we.)
Of course the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, mac n' cheese, ice cream, candy, and dancing all helped Ada enjoy herself. She got to stay up until 9:30 pm!

The couple dancing.

This was the fun cake.
Us with the newlyweds.
It was so fun to see old college friends and to celebrate Dave and Ruth!
Ada and me with the Bride.
We are SO happy for them!
Ada toasting the new couple.
The ceremony.
Above the couple were tons of paper doves representing the Holy Spirit. It was amazing!
It was one of the best weddings I have ever been to....but then what did I expect? Ruth is a pastor and has been to lots of weddings.
On the way we stopped at Target to stretch our legs.
We found these awesome necklaces to wear!
We ate lunch at Rubio's in Bakersfield.
Ada was pretty happy with her quesadilla and cup with a straw.
On the way home we played at the Apple store in SLO after eating at Firestone's Grill.
Ada did great traveling in the car.
She didn't want to take her new sunglasses off all weekend.
Us at the wedding.
Tired Ada ready to go to sleep.
Also...when it was hot this week we went to Simone's for some blended drinks with Grandma. Yum!
